Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in delivering best-practice treatments within our skilled nursing setting. The PTA will provide therapy under PT supervision and contribute to patient-centered plans of care in a compassionate, collaborative environment.

Qualified candidates have graduated from an accredited PTA program and hold current Florida licensure; LTC/geriatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Must hold valid FL PTA license/registration.
• Experience in long-term care/geriatric care preferred.
• Strong documentation writing skills.
• Exceptional patient service and professionalism.
• Ability to collaborate with all disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Provide treatment aligned with goals developed by the PT.
• Document patient progress and communicate with supervising PT.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to ensure patient-centered care.
• Report to work on time and maintain professional conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
• Comply with confidentiality, HIPAA, and Residents' Rights.
