Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center, a 95-bed single facility in Miami, FL, is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant. The PTA will deliver best-practice treatments under supervision of a Physical Therapist, ensure timely progress notes, and collaborate with the rehab team to provide patient-centered geriatric care.

Qualified candidates have an accredited PTA program, Florida PTA licensure, and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for the state of Florida.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not required.
• Strong documentation writing and weekly progress notes.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and clinical excellence.
• Punctuality and professionalism in all shifts.
• Maintain confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and residents' rights.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best-practice treatments under supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Provide feedback to the supervising PT via documentation or other facility methods.
• Report to work on time and adhere to scheduled hours.
• Perform duties assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to deliver high-quality patient care.
