Job summary

Independence Rehab Cascades at Riverwalk is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support geriatric residents in a full-time setting. You will work closely with PTs, nurses, OT, and speech to help residents regain mobility, balance, and independence in daily activities.

The role offers mentorship for new grads, clinician autonomy in a therapist-owned clinic, and a strong focus on meaningful patient outcomes and sustainable caseloads.

Qualifications

• Active Utah PTA license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Interest in geriatric care and functional outcomes.
• SNF experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Treat a medically complex geriatric population with mobility and functional goals.
• Guide residents through mobility milestones and safe transfers.
• Lead gait, balance, strengthening, and functional training sessions.
• Collaborate closely with PT to adjust care plans.
• Work alongside nursing, OT, and speech therapists to support whole-person recovery.
• Support patients and families, celebrating meaningful progress.
