Job summary

Independence Rehab in Midvale, UT is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support geriatric residents in achieving mobility and independence.

This therapist-owned clinic offers a flexible full-time schedule, mentorship, and strong team collaboration with PTs, nurses, OT, and speech. Benefits include generous PTO, comprehensive insurance, CE reimbursement, HSA, a 401(k) match, and Teladoc access.

Qualifications

• Active Utah PTA license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Interest in geriatric care and functional outcomes.
• SNF experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Treat a medically complex geriatric population with mobility milestones.
• Lead gait, balance, strengthening, and functional training sessions.
• Collaborate with PT, nursing, OT, and speech for holistic care.
• Support resident transitions back home and reduce fall risk.
• Document progress and adjust treatment plans with supervision.

Skills

Active Utah PTA license

Graduate of accredited PTA program
