Job summary

Kintegra Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to support the physical therapy program under the direction of a Physical Therapist and Team Lead. The role focuses on therapeutic exercises, gait training, and development of group exercise programs for maintenance therapy for participants.

The candidate will report to the Team Lead/Center Manager and the Clinical Services Director, with responsibilities across care coordination and participation in multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Education requirements: Associates Degree in Applied Science of Physical Therapist Assisting.
• Experience requirements: 1 year of experience working with frail elderly population.
• Licensure/Certification: Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in NC.
• Special training: Demonstrates clinical competency with geriatric population and acts within scope of authority.
• Ages of patients rendered care include Neonate/Infant, Early Childhood, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric, All Age Groups.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapist in communicating participant changes to team members.
• Assist in implementation of treatment program as established by Physical Therapist.
• Record and sign treatments in participant charts and progress notes.
• Help plan and develop maintenance, exercise and therapy programs for participants.
• Participate as a multidisciplinary team member under direction of a Physical Therapist.
• Coordinate 24-hour care delivery and train family members and staff as needed.
• Provide guidance to program aides and staff implementing the treatment program.
• Participate in inter-disciplinary team meetings and care planning when required.
• Communicate changes in participant condition to the team under supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
