Job summary

The successful candidate will complete an accredited PTA program, hold Michigan licensure if required, and demonstrate professional judgement with a patient-centered approach in a daily clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Licensure as required by the State of Michigan.
• Ability to exercise professional judgement in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy treatments according to the established plan under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Contributes to development, implementation, and progression of patient treatment and modifies as necessary.
• Participates in patient care conferences and program development.
• Completes documentation and adheres to policies, procedures and current standards of clinical practice.
• Coordinates with other disciplines for effective total patient care.
• Assures delivery of quality care and participates in discharge planning and patient/family instruction.
• Maintains clinical expertise through continuing education.
• Supervises students and volunteers as requested.
