Job summary

Miami Jewish Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (PRN) to administer skilled therapy and support rehabilitation goals for residents. You will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist in a leading aging care facility near downtown Miami.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, assisting with discharge planning, coordinating with the IDT, and providing supervision to aides. Florida Licensed OTA and BLS are required, with associates degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree preferred.
• One year experience in occupational therapy and geriatric populations preferred.
• Florida licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Adminsisters treatments per care plan and scope of practice.
• Implements discharge planning and coordinates home exercise programs.
• Assesses continuation of therapy per regulatory criteria.
• Communicates progress to the Occupational Therapist.
• Participates in IDT meetings and family meetings.
• Provides supervision to rehabilitation aides and students.
