Job summary

Rehabilitation Center of Oakland seeks a licensed Physical Therapist for full-time direct patient care in our Oakland facility. You will assess, plan, and implement therapy programs for geriatric and general rehab patients, supervise assistants, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

The role requires a PT license, current CPR, and a degree in Physical Therapy. We offer a sign-on bonus of $5,000, competitive pay per hour, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Physical Therapist licensure and CPR certification.
• Geriatric rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Experience in adult neurological, cardiac, or general rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Aids in restoration and enhancement of independent function; evaluates and treats patients; documents in medical records.
• Provides patient treatments; supervises PTAs and aides; communicates with supervisor and interdisciplinary team.
• Writes accurate documentation; manages Medicare reviews and denials; obtains consents/approvals for treatment.
• Contributes to interdisciplinary care; participates in rehab team conferences; educates staff and families.
• Promotes professional development and safe working practices in the facility.
