Job summary

Mercy seeks a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to perform objective assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients. The role includes direct patient supervision and oversight of rehabilitation technicians and PT assistants in accordance with state practice acts.

Candidates should hold a PT degree (BS/MS/DPT) and an active license in the practicing state, with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Education requirements: Bachelor, MS in PT or DPT.
• Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• Certifications: BLS certified; required before caring for patients independently.
• Experience: Six months to one year experience preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist; adult/geriatric care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs objective assessments and develops comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provides direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• Provides general supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.
