Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to evaluate patients and design individualized treatment plans for adults and seniors. You will supervise patients and rehab staff, ensuring care meets Mercy standards and state practice acts.

The role requires a PT license, a degree in physical therapy (DPT/MS/DPT) and BLS certification, with 6–12 months of preferred experience in geriatric care. This is an on-site position with Mercy’s comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• BLS certification; required to be current before caring for patients independently.
• Six months to one year experience preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist; adult and geriatric care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive PT treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians; supervise PT assistants as per State Practice Acts.
• Operate under Therapy Leadership and Mercy policies, aligning care with Mercy mission and standards.
