Responsibilities

• Performs daily nursing care and phlebotomy as directed by supervisor.
• Handles laboratory data collection systems and equipment for tests.
• Identifies patients to ensure correct treatment.
• Collects blood samples from patients, including older adults.
• Prepares and distributes specimens; maintains infection control.
• Communicates with patients and documents information accurately.
• Orders and maintains laboratory supplies; keeps work areas stocked.
• Complies with OSHA, CLIA, and federal regulations.
