Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved phlebotomy training program.
• Active, current CNA certification in the appropriate state.

• Must be able to work under nurse supervision and independently as required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Provides routine daily nursing care per patient care plan.
• Performs daily phlebotomy accurately and timely.
• Identifies patients to prevent treatment errors.
• Collects blood samples from mostly older patients.
• Maintains infection control practices and safety standards.
• Communicates clearly with patients and staff; documents information correctly.
• Orders and maintains lab supplies; ensures area is clean and stocked.
• Follows OSHA, CLIA, and federal regulations.
