Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an approved phlebotomy training program.
• Minimum of 1 year phlebotomy experience with geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Performs CNA duties as per job code 0101, Department 6300 for HCC.
• Manages lab data collection: order, cancel, charge tests.
• Accurately identify patients to prevent treatment errors.
• Collects blood from patients, including older adults.
• Processes specimens and prepares them for distribution.
• Enforces infection control policies and procedures.
• Communicates with patients clearly and professionally.
• Orders and maintains laboratory supplies.
• Keeps work areas clean and stocked; maintains confidentiality.
• Coordinates with lab manager on lab issues.
