Job summary

Habitat Health is hiring a Kitchen Coordinator in California to assist in delivering safe, therapeutic nutrition services at our day centers. You will receive vendor-prepped foods, prep for meal service, and verify temperatures while maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen.

You will support the Registered Dietitian, manage storage, document temperatures, and follow Habitat Health policies. CA Servsafe and Food Handlers certification preferred; HS diploma and 1 year large-batch cooking experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ year in large-batch cooking.
• CA Servsafe and Food Handlers Certification required.
• Ability to prepare and serve food under sanitary conditions and meet diets.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Registered Dietitian in safe, therapeutic nutrition services.
• Maintain storage standards for vendor-prepared food prior to service.
• Measure and record food temperatures during delivery and service.
• Prepare and plate meals per dietary cards and notes.
• Label and date all perishable items in refrigerators/freezers.
• Record inventory and place orders for replacements as needed.
