Habitat Health is seeking a Kitchen Coordinator to support safe, therapeutic nutrition at our day centers. You will receive vendor-prepped foods, prepare meals, and ensure temperatures and sanitation meet policy standards, while assisting the Registered Dietitian and managing kitchen inventory.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1+ year of large-batch cooking experience, ServSafe and Food Handlers certifications, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency; 1+ year of experience with large-batch/institutional cooking, menu adherence, and ordering.
• CA ServSafe and Food Handlers Certification.
• Ability to procure foods from approved sources and store, prepare, distribute, and serve food under sanitary conditions.
• Ability to execute modified or therapeutic diets as directed by the interdisciplinary team and registered dietitian.
• A state issued driver’s license, personal transportation, and auto insurance as required by law.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to a center experience that Participants want to spend time in and a team culture that cares and creates joy.
• Help implement changes to improve clinical outcomes and participant experience.
• Assist Registered Dietitian in providing safe, therapeutic nutrition services.
• Maintain storage standards of vendor-prepared food prior to meal service.
• Measure and record food temperatures and ensure safety per Habitat Health policies.
• Prepare and plate food according to dietary cards and preferences.
• Label and date perishable foods in refrigerators/freezers and ensure freshness.
• Record inventory and place orders for replacements as needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
