Job summary

• ARNP or advanced nursing degree required.
• Current NP certification in state of practice.
• Board certification preferred but may be required for certain States.
• DEA number from the DEA may be required depending on state practice.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical NP experience in Family/Internal/Geriatrics with autonomy.
• BLS certification required within first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Independently assesses acute and non-acute clinical problems and documents physical assessments and histories.
• Develops patient management plans and provides counseling to patients and families.
• Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic studies; prescribes medications and treatments.
• Refers patients for specialist consultation as indicated.
• Documents progress notes and summaries; participates in rounds and team communications.
• May perform invasive procedures with competency; ensures adherence to guidelines and quality standards.
