Job summary

Deer Oaks Behavioral Health is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor to join our clinical team onsite in Mount Pleasant, Texas. You will provide therapy, assessments, and care planning within long-term care facilities, delivering compassionate geriatric behavioral health services.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team, utilize our GNT documentation system, and benefit from substantial administrative support and a predictable Mon-Fri schedule.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted LCPC license is required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
• Commitment to timely documentation and high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy to LTC residents.
• Conduct clinical assessments, psychosocial evaluations, screenings, and treatment planning.
• Support residents with depression, anxiety, adjustment to illness, grief, trauma, and behavioral concerns.
• Deliver behavioral management and evidence-based interventions in geriatric care.
• Collaborate with nursing, social services, rehabilitation, and medical teams to coordinate care.
• Participate in care plan discussions and facility meetings.
