Job summary

Senior Care Therapy is seeking Licensed Professional Counselors to provide in-person psychotherapy to geriatric residents in New Jersey. SCT handles billing, insurance, credentialing, and pre-certifications, offering full-time roles with flexible daytime hours and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state applying for.
Excellent oral and written communication in English.
Basic proficiency with technology including electronic health records (EHR).
Strong organizational and documentation skills with regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Conduct individual and group psychotherapy sessions for residents in subacute or skilled nursing facilities.
Assess, diagnose, and treat emotional and behavioral health conditions (depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, cognitive decline).
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient.
Collaborate with facility staff, interdisciplinary teams, and family members to support patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in EHR per regulatory standards.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
