Job summary

Marquise is seeking a Registered Dietitian to support the Food and Nutrition Services Department in a long-term care setting. You will work with the Manager to ensure effective operations and compliance with nutrition standards.

As the dietitian, you will approve menus, develop recipes, and implement production controls while completing resident nutritional assessments and care plans. You will also monitor therapeutic diets, maintain visit summaries, and assist with audits and departmental

Qualifications

• Current professional registration with the College of Dietitians.
• Geriatric nutrition care knowledge for long-term care.
• Knowledge of government legislation in long-term care.
• Knowledge of food service methods, materials and equipment for quantity preparation and serving.
• Ability to supervise staff and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Approve menu and assist in recipe development and production controls.
• Complete nutritional assessments and care plans for residents.
• Identify residents at nutritional risk and plan therapeutic diets.
• Plan and monitor dietary orders and special feedings as required.
• Maintain summaries of visits and assessments.
• Write cycle menus when needed to meet physician orders.
• Monitor resident satisfaction with nutrition services and address needs.
• Assist with compliance audits and food service regulations.
• Advise Food Service Manager on nutrition matters.
