Job summary

Majestic Care of Terre Haute is seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutrition assessments and integrate interventions into residents’ care plans within a skilled nursing setting.

The role requires clinical nutrition expertise, documentation in medical records, and collaboration with the care team to monitor nutrition and hydration status. ServSafe certification and 1–3 years of dietary/food service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active current Registered Dietitian or RD eligible pending successful completion of the registration examination.
• Licensed in states where required.
• One to three years of experience in dietary/food service operations; supervisory experience preferred but not required.
• Current ServSafe Certification

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical nutrition expertise, especially in geriatric and rehabilitation care in skilled nursing.
• Apply critical thinking to assess objectives, develop and monitor improvement plans.
• Coordinate between nutrition services, nursing, activities and other departments to ensure appropriate dining services.
• Maintain documentation in resident medical records and participate in care planning.
• Monitor laboratory and weight data to identify changes in metabolic or hydration status.
• Provide education and guidance to residents and families regarding nutrition status and care options.
• Attend professional meetings to stay current in dietetics and nutrition practices.
• Ensure safe sanitary procedures and infection control practices.
