Job summary

Apploi is seeking a CERTIFIED DIETARY MANAGER to support the Dietitian in planning, organizing, and directing the Dietary Department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. The role ensures quality nutritional services and a clean, safe dietetic environment daily.

The incumbent will coordinate with Nursing, Housekeeping, and Social Services, assist in policy development, and prepare comprehensive dietary plans and care plans, including scheduling and quarterly reviews.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Dietary Manager required.
• Accredited dietetic training completed.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or similar setting.
• Training in cost control and food management.
• Registered as a Food Service Director in the state.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and state laws governing long-term care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate dietary services with Nursing, Housekeeping, Social Services, and related departments.
• Assist in developing departmental policies, procedures, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist in creating assessments of residents' dietary needs and plans of care.
• Help schedule care plans and assessments for committee meetings.
• Ensure care plans are used in daily dietary services and identify patient equipment needs.
• Update and revise care plans and assessments quarterly.
• Provide substitute foods of similar nutritive value to residents who refuse foods served.
• Be proficient with kitchen equipment and maintain sanitation standards.
• Inspect storage rooms and supplies for upkeep and control.
• Process diet changes as directed by nursing services.
• Identify and classify dietary tasks with exposure to blood/body fluids.
