GRAND VIEW HEALTHCARE CENTER in Washington, MO is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team. You will prepare meals, desserts and snacks following the posted menu and dietary requirements, while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen.

We value teamwork and ongoing education; applicants should be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, and be able to lift up to 25 pounds (50 pounds occasionally). Benefit package includes health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be interested in geriatrics, read/write/speak English.
• Knowledgeable of dietary techniques and procedures.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and/or 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals, desserts and snacks per the posted menu, following special diets.
• Serves meals that are palatable and presentable.
• Maintains a clean, organized, sanitized work area.
• Adheres to health code for storage and temperatures; maintains documentation.
• Estimates and prepares food supplies to meet portions.
• Keeps a safe, clean, and respectful work environment.
• Attends and participates in continuing educational programs.
