Job summary

The Sisters of Mercy of the Americas in Fremont, OH are seeking a Charge Nurse to lead and coordinate nursing care for residents. The role emphasizes implementing the plan of care, delivering high-quality clinical services, and supervising CNAs, NAs, and HHAs on duty.

Ideal candidates will have an LPN license, a current BLS, at least 5 years of nursing experience (geriatrics preferred), demonstrated leadership, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

LPN with a valid state license.
Current BLS certification.
Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, preferably geriatric or dementia care.
Experience supervising or delegating care to others.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

Provide person-centered care focusing on wellness, comfort, and dignity.
Administer medications and treatments per nursing standards and policies.
Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and condition changes.
Supervise, delegate, and educate CNAs, NAs, and HHAs on duty.
Assist with daily living activities such as dressing, bathing, grooming, ambulation, and meals.
Ensure safety, infection control, and end-of-life care practices.
