Job summary

Bethesda Health is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to provide basic nursing care, assess residents on admission and during care, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to update care plans. The role emphasizes timely documentation and safe administration of medications and treatments.

Applicants must hold an active LPN license, maintain CPR/AED certification, and complete required continuing education.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse with an active state license.
• IV Certification required or willing to obtain within six months.
• Current CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care and assess residents on admission and ongoing basis.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to the IDT and families.
• Document assessments accurately and timely; update care plans as needed.
• Perform nursing interventions safely, including medication administration and treatments.
• Notify physician using SBARR when needed; manage crises calmly.
• Support residents with ADLs and respond to call lights.
• Participate in ongoing continuing education.
