Job summary

Longhorn Village in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct, compassionate care to residents around the clock, assisting with daily living activities and basic therapies. Under the supervision of the Director of Nurses, you will document care, monitor residents, and communicate effectively with staff and families to promote comfort and independence.

The role requires a Texas CNA license, reliable transportation, and the ability to assist with transfers

Qualifications

• Current Texas CNA license.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance coverage, and have access to an automobile.
• Must be able to push a minimum of 200 lbs and push that weight a minimum distance of 200 ft.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, positioning, toileting, bathing, and exercising.
• Assists residents in and out of bed or wheelchair with proper transfer equipment.
• Records vital signs, nourishment logs, and other patient records as necessary.
• Maintains, organizes, and fully stocks the bedside unit.
• Changes linen, makes beds, and keeps resident rooms tidy.
• Responds to all call lights promptly.
• Assists in assuring the maximum quality of life for all residents by maintaining privacy, accommodating individual preference, promoting independence, encouraging and assisting participation in facility activities and events, and communicating respectfully at all times.
• Maintains continuous communication with team leader.
