Responsibilities

• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, positioning, toileting, bathing, and exercising.
• Assist residents in and out of bed or wheelchair with proper transfer equipment.
• Record vital signs, nourishment logs, and other patient records as necessary.
• Maintain, organize, and fully stock the bedside unit.
• Change linen, make beds, and keep resident rooms tidy.
• Respond to all call lights promptly.
• Maintain privacy, accommodate individual preferences, promote independence, and encourage participation in activities and events.

Who You Are:

We are seeking a candidate with a strong positive attitude toward customer service to act as a Certified Nursing Assistant for skilled nursing facility. This person will have a genuine interest in geriatric care and be able to motivate while maintaining relationship with staff and residents. Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Director of Nurses, the Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct care to residents in a 24 hour operation, primarily for their activities of daily living, assistance with therapeutic activities program, restorative programs, documentation as required by the facility.

Accountabilities:

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, positioning, toileting, bathing, and exercising.
• Assists residents in and out of bed or wheelchair with proper transfer equipment.
• Records vital signs, nourishment logs, and other patient records as necessary.
• Maintain, organize, and fully stock the bedside unit.
• Change linen, make beds, and keep resident rooms tidy.
• Responds to all call lights promptly.
• Assists in assuring the maximum quality of life for all residents by maintaining privacy, accommodating individual preference, promoting independence, encouraging and assisting participation in facility activities and events, and communicates respectfully at all times.
• Maintains continuous communication with team leader.

Qualifications:

• Current State of Texas Certified Nurse Assistant license.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license, maintain automobile insurance coverage and have access to an automobile.
• Must be able to push a minimum of 200 lbs and be able to push such weight a minimum distance of 200 ft.
