Job summary

Longhorn Village in Austin, TX is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for our skilled nursing facility. You will provide direct resident care, assist with daily living activities, and support restorative programs under the Director of Nurses.

Qualifications

• Texas CNA license required.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Ability to push a minimum of 200 lbs and transfer weight over 200 ft.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, positioning, toileting, bathing, and exercising.
• Assist residents in and out of bed or wheelchair with proper transfer equipment.
• Record vital signs, nourishment logs, and other patient records as necessary.
• Maintain, organize, and fully stock the bedside unit.
• Change linen, make beds, and keep resident rooms tidy.
• Respond to all call lights promptly.
• Maintain privacy, accommodate individual preferences, promote independence, and encourage participation in activities and events.
