Job summary

Manorlakean is seeking a patient, compassionate caregiver to assist residents with daily activities and basic care in a geriatric setting in Georgia. You will help with bathing, meals, hygiene, vital signs, and routine charting under supervision.

Responsibilities include maintaining confidentiality, following safety rules, and supporting admissions, transfers and daily activities. Prior experience and CPR certification are valued, with opportunity for ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High School education preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• CNA training or certification completed preferred.
• Previous experience with geriatric nursing preferred.
• Knowledge of basic first aid and resident care.
• CPR certification.
• Good health, neat, clean, well groomed and responsible.
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude toward the elderly.
• Must have upper body strength adequate to bend, lift, shift, move, and/or assist in moving articles of more than seventy-five pounds.
• Must be able to squat, reach, and stretch without distress. Must be able to tolerate extended periods walking, standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily bath and/or shower and related care.
• Record vital signs, weight, and chart observations; report changes to supervisor.
• Prepare residents for meals and provide after-meal care.
• Maintain residents’ confidentiality and dignity; report complaints to supervisor.
• Assist in admissions, transfers, and discharges; inventory possessions; report equipment issues.
• Provide table service during meals.
• Perform daily light housekeeping in resident rooms.
• Follow safety, infection control, and sanitation rules; document restraints as required.
• Attend orientation and required training.
• Assist with any other tasks as assigned by management.
