Job summary

UAB St. Vincent's East in Birmingham, AL is seeking dedicated staff for the Behavioral Health - Geri Psych unit.

This position offers Full-Time Nights (3 12-hour shifts, 7:00 pm–7:00 am) and PRN Day shifts (12-hour, 7:00 am–7:00 pm) to support inpatient geriatric care and stabilization. Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire; American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted.
• Certified Nurse Aide preferred.
• HS diploma or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience OR Associate's/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct behavioral health patient care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide or assist with direct patient care, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions.
• Observe and record patient behavior; report changes and suggest treatment plan modifications.
• Establish a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients.
