UAB Medicine is seeking a Behavioral Health clinician for adult psych services at UAB St. Vincent’s East in Birmingham, AL. This position involves providing direct behavioral health patient care on a 3 x 12-hour night shift schedule (7:00 pm – 7:00 am) and assisting patients with daily living activities.

A strong focus on stabilization, recovery, and compassionate team-based care defines the role. Required licensure (BLS within 1 month); CNA preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 Month of hire date or job transfer date.
• Certified Nurse Aide preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct behavioral health patient care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide or assist with direct patient care, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions.
• Observe and record patient behavior and activities; report changes and suggest treatment plan modifications.
• Establish a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients.

High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years cumulative relevant experience

Associate's degree/Technical degree
