Job summary

AlphaStaff, Inc. is seeking a Nurse Practitioner with psychiatric experience to provide behavioral health services to nursing home and long-term care residents across South Arkansas. The role offers flexible full-time or part-time schedules, with support for credentialing and administrative tasks.

Ideal candidates have PMHNP credentials, DEA registration, and experience in psychiatry or geriatrics. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and travel between facilities as needed,

Qualifications

• PMHNP preferred; other NP backgrounds considered if comfortable managing psychiatric patients.
• DEA registration or ability to obtain.
• Experience in psychiatry, geriatrics, long-term care, primary care, or related settings preferred.
• Ability to work independently with clinical support available.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits.
• Assess and manage depression, anxiety, dementia-related behaviors, and other behavioral health conditions.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
• Maintain EMR documentation and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, pharmacists, and facility leadership.
• Travel between assigned facilities throughout the week as needed.
