Job summary

AlphaStaffHCM is seeking a Nurse Practitioner with psychiatric experience to provide behavioral health services to nursing home and long-term care residents across South Arkansas. The role includes caseload support, credentialing assistance, and access to psychiatrist consultation, offering flexibility and autonomy to improve patient quality of life.

You will conduct psychiatric evaluations, manage medications, and collaborate with care teams while traveling to multiple facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Arkansas NP license is required.
• PMHNP preferred; other NP backgrounds considered if comfortable managing psychiatric patients.
• DEA registration or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits.
• Assess and manage depression, anxiety, dementia-related behaviors, and other behavioral health conditions.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
• Maintain EMR documentation and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, pharmacists, and facility leadership.
• Travel between assigned facilities throughout the week as needed.
