Job summary

AlphaStaffHCM is seeking a Nurse Practitioner with psychiatric experience to provide behavioral health services to nursing home and long-term care residents in South Arkansas. The role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to enhance quality of life for underserved populations, with a supported caseload and access to psychiatry consults.

The position requires Arkansas NP licensure, DEA registration, and comfort managing psychiatric patients; PMHNP preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Arkansas Nurse Practitioner license.
• PMHNP preferred; other NP backgrounds considered if comfortable managing psychiatric patients.
• DEA registration or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits.
• Assess and manage depression, anxiety, dementia-related behaviors, and other behavioral health conditions.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
• Maintain EMR documentation and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, pharmacists, and facility leadership.
• Travel between assigned facilities throughout the week as needed.
