Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Director of Activities in planning, organizing, and directing quality activities for patients. You will ensure recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs are met in line with Life Care standards and regulations.

Responsibilities include planning programs, charting progress, escorting patients, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with geriatrics preferred.
Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
Ability to make independent decisions.
Knowledge of post-acute care facility laws and regulations.
Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating quality activity programs.
Chart patient progress and behavior descriptively.
Escort patients to and from activities.
Make in-room visits to patients uninterested or unable to participate in group activities.
Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
Assist in the evacuation of patients.
Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
