Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Director of Activities in planning and directing quality programs that address the recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs of patients in a post-acute care setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and may prefer experience with geriatrics. A valid driver’s license and ability to work within Life Care standards are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience with geriatrics preferred.
• Valid driver’s license in current state with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct quality activity programs (entertainment, exercise, relaxation, education).
• Chart patient progress and behavior descriptively.
• Escort patients to activities and visit patients in their rooms as needed.
• Participate in group activities and ensure patient engagement.
• Maintain professionalism and positive attitude toward patients.
• Ensure safety and sanitation during activities and in the department.
