Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Director of Activities in planning, organizing, and directing quality activities for patients. This role ensures recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs are met in compliance with Life Care standards and applicable regulations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and prefer experience with geriatrics.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with geriatrics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating quality activity programs (includes entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and education).
• Chart patient progress and behavior descriptively and accurately.
• Escort patients to and from activities.
• Make regular in room visits to patients who are uninterested or unable to participate in group activities.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward patients.
• Demonstrate dependability with regular attendance and safety awareness.
