Job summary

Pahokee Health, LLC is seeking an energetic Activity Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will communicate effectively with residents and staff and has experience in geriatrics, recreation, or social administration.

You will plan and lead a wide range of social activities, coordinate off-site trips, arrange transportation, maintain decorations, and assist with supplies, ensuring every resident can participate.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication skills and experience in geriatrics, recreation, or social administration.
• Ability to work with others in setting up events.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to complete small set-ups independently.
• Must be able to work rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and lead a wide scope of social and recreational activities for all residents.
• Plan off-campus trips for residents and attend many trips.
• Arrange transportation for events, including bus transportation and other vehicle arrangements.
• Maintain seasonal decorations of the facility.
• Create, post and distribute information about events and programs.
• Assist with purchasing necessary supplies, films, crafts, etc.
• Assist with shopping for items requested by residents.
• Conduct orientation for new residents and serve as a resource person.
• Alert Social Services staff of concerns pertaining to residents.
• Plan and coordinate activities in the director's absence.
