Job summary

Life Care seeks an Activities Assistant to support the Director of Activities in planning and delivering comprehensive recreational and social programs for patients. The role focuses on meeting physical, intellectual, spiritual, and emotional needs in compliance with Life Care standards.

The ideal candidate is a high school graduate, with preferred experience in geriatrics, and must possess a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Prior experience with geriatrics preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating quality activity programs.
• Chart patient progress and behavior descriptively.
• Escort patients to and from activities.
• Make regular in-room visits to patients unable to participate in group activities.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward patients.
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
• Communicate and function on an interdisciplinary team.
