Woodleigh Chase by Erickson Senior Living in Fairfax, Virginia, is seeking an Activities Coordinator (Intermissions Program Coordinator) to plan, develop, and manage social activity programs for residents. The starting salary is $65k–$73k with annual merit and bonus based on performance, and the schedule is Monday–Friday with occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a geriatric setting.
• Creative & Expressive Arts background preferred.
• Experience with the elderly and dementia understanding beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Resident Life and Health Services to deliver services and assess outcomes.
• Manage internal marketing of the Intermissions Program to residents, families, and staff.
• Coordinate participant acceptance into the program and discontinue services as needed.
• Facilitate information exchange with residents’ families, caregivers, staff, and support systems.
• Educate staff and volunteers about residents’ abilities, preferences and interventions.
• Schedule and document in-service programs for staff and volunteers.
