Job summary

Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND seeks a compassionate activity assistant to support residents through structured daily programs and social engagement. The role emphasizes creative activities while maintaining dignity and individual needs.

You will administer monthly activity calendars, assist with basic nursing tasks and patient transport, and contribute to MDS/EPIC documentation. CNA background or healthcare studies are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in social services or creative activities are preferred. Experience in geriatrics preferred.
• Knowledge of working with a wide variety of resident demographics.
• Preferred current CNA certification or currently enrolled in a healthcare related program.

Responsibilities

• Administers the monthly activity calendar.
• Regularly elicits patients/residents input into activity planning and keeps activities well organized and upbeat, following state requirements.
• Assists with simple nursing procedures and transporting patients/residents to and from rooms.
• Assists with MDS/EPIC documentation.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities and plans/workflows to utilize resources effectively.
