Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Director of Activities in planning and delivering diverse patient activities that meet physical, social, intellectual, and emotional needs in a post-acute care setting.

Responsibilities include coordinating programs, charting progress, escorting patients, and maintaining high-quality service. A valid driver’s license and the ability to work with diverse teams are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with geriatrics preferred.
• Valid driver’s license in current state with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating quality activity programs (entertainment, exercise, relaxation, education).
• Chart patient progress and behavior accurately.
• Escort patients to and from activities.
• Make in-room visits to patients uninterested or unable to participate in group activities.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward patients.
• Ensure safety and sanitation across activities and environments.
