Job summary

Sanford Health in Fargo, ND is seeking a part-time Activities Assistant to enhance the quality of life for patients/residents through individual and group activities. The role includes administering the monthly activity calendar, leading sessions, and assisting with basic nursing tasks while transporting patients as needed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, experience in social services or geriatrics, and preferably CNA certification with BLS.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in social services or creative activities preferred.
• Experience in geriatrics preferred.
• Knowledge of working with a wide variety of resident demographics.
• Preferred CNA certification or currently enrolled in a healthcare program.
• BLS required; CPR training within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administers the monthly activity calendar and leads activities for patients/residents.
• Provides one-on-one and group activities to improve quality of life.
• Assists with simple nursing procedures and transporting patients/residents.
• Maintains documentation in MDS/EPIC as required.
• Demonstrates leadership, plans and oversees resource use and work processes.
