Position: Geotechnical Skilled Laborer
Travel: VA and MD

Start Date: Mid to Late July 2025

We are currently seeking Geotechnical Skilled Laborers to join our Geotechnical Group across VA and other locations throughout the Mid Atlantic. Work is performed outdoors year-round, and employees will be exposed to wet, muddy, cold, hot, and humid weather conditions. Candidates must have good communication skills and the ability to work well with others. Experience in earthwork, drilling, concrete, welding, and small tool operation is preferred. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required. Construction experience with caisson, tiebacks, welding, drill rig experience/knowledge, and/or concrete experience is a significant advantage.

This is a safety-sensitive position requiring work on construction sites with inherent hazards.

This position is subject to drug testing and compliance policies as a Federal Contractor.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Welding certification (preferred)
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Construction experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Carry, load, or unload materials
• Dig with picks, shovels, air hammers, jackhammers, or other equipment
• Arrive on time and participate in safety meetings
• Lift and position lagging boards onto shoring walls
• Operate and maintain construction equipment (grout machines, drilling machines, compressors)
• Work with hoses for machinery on-site
• Ensure safety of oneself and others, wearing PPE as required

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 60 pounds from ground to waist, 30 pounds above shoulder
• Stand and walk continuously during shifts
• Climb ladders and work at heights up to 150 feet
• Bend, squat, kneel, crawl, and perform manipulations
• Work on uneven surfaces and in confined spaces
• Have acceptable corrected vision and hearing
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions
