DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This is a seasonal job budgeted for 17 pay periods (34 weeks) per fiscal year. These positions are critical for maintaining facilities during the busiest months, ensuring access areas and ramps are safe for public use. Work includes mowing access areas, installing docks and signage, weed eating, litter pickup, and minor repairs on dams and spillways. Crews work in pairs to ensure safety and efficiency.

Work Schedule and Additional Information
  • Seasonal, full-time employment (March through November)
  • No medical benefits; paid time off after 750 hours worked
  • Work hours: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM Mon-Wed, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM Thu, with 30-minute lunch
  • Occasional travel, overnight, weekend, evening, holiday, or overtime work
  • Salary may be non-negotiable in some cases
  • No telework option
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
  • One year of laboring experience with tools and equipment, or an equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent
  • Ability to perform essential job functions
