Position: Geotechnical Skilled Laborer

Travel: Regional, PA, MD, DE, DC

Job Description

We are currently seeking Skilled Laborers to join our Geotechnical Group across PA and other locations throughout the Mid Atlantic. Work is performed outdoors year-round, exposing employees to wet, muddy, cold, hot, and humid weather conditions.

This role requires good communication skills and the ability to work well with others. Experience in earth work, drilling, concrete, welding, and small tool operation is preferred. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Construction experience with caisson, tiebacks, welding, drill rig operation/knowledge, and concrete work is a significant plus.

Safety and Compliance

This is a safety-sensitive position requiring work on construction sites with inherent hazards. The position is subject to drug testing and compliance policies as part of our status as a Federal Contractor.

Responsibilities
  • Carry, load, or unload materials
  • Dig with picks, shovels, air hammers, jackhammers, or other related equipment
  • Arrive on time and participate in job discussions and safety meetings
  • Lift and position lagging boards onto shoring walls
  • Operate and maintain construction equipment (grout machines, drilling machines, compressors)
  • Work with hoses for various machines on-site
  • Ensure safety of self and others by wearing proper PPE
Physical Requirements
  • Lift up to 60 pounds from ground to waist, and 30 pounds above shoulder level
  • Stand and walk continuously during shifts
  • Climb ladders and work at heights up to 150 feet
  • Bend, squat, kneel, crawl, and perform manual tasks
  • Work on uneven surfaces and in confined spaces
  • Have acceptable corrected vision and hearing
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions
