DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will assist with the maintenance and care of approximately 373 acres, including lawns, tree groves, roads, parking lots, and right-of-ways. Your duties will involve assisting painters, plumbers, electricians, and carpenters with a range of maintenance and repair tasks throughout the property. You will work with various construction, groundskeeping, and maintenance equipment, applying skills learned on the job. Routine groundskeeping and minor repairs are carried out independently and reviewed upon completion.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time, limited-term employment. Term will last up to 11 months.
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Overtime and travel: As needed
• May change based on operational needs.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Hourly Rate:In some cases, the starting hourly rate may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  
  

Condition of Employment:

• This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.

Legal Requirements:

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
• Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
