SESI Consulting Engineers, founded in 1976, is a well-established engineering firm based in Parsippany, N.J. We seek dynamic individuals to support organic growth and deliver innovative geotechnical, site/civil, and environmental solutions throughout NJ/NY/CT.

This staff position is a training role for those with related degrees but limited field experience, offering a pathway to grow within a collaborative team and take on increasing project responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 0–3 years of site civil, geotechnical or environmental experience.
• Internship or construction experience is preferred.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred or ability to become registered within six months.
• ACI/NICET/NJ DCA Special Inspector and Nuclear Densometer certification a plus.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, NitroPro, GSLOPE, MS Word, Excel, Adobe.

Responsabilités

• Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects.
• Conducts site inspections to monitor progress and conformance to specs.
• Lead design discussions and instruct drafters on drawings.
• Performs routine geotechnical laboratory checks and testing oversight.
• Develops schedules and budgets; provides milestone reports to management and clients.
• Oversees project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages.
• Reviews designs for compliance with engineering principles and standards.
• Coordinates with teams on technical developments and problem solving.
• Travel 25% to 100% depending on site and project needs.
