Job summary

SESI Consulting Engineers in Parsippany, NJ seeks an experienced project manager to lead geotechnical, site/civil and environmental engineering projects. You will supervise project teams, coordinate investigations, develop schedules and budgets, and deliver quality design documents and proposals for clients in the NJ/NY/CT region.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree with 10–12 years of project management experience, LSRP preferred, and FE/EIT or OSHA HAZWOPER credentials.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred in related field; 10–12 years of experience with project management preferred.
• Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) license preferred.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
• FE/EIT Certification preferred.
• Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to access job sites.
• Able to work with mathematical concepts and fundamentals of geometry/trigonometry.
• Proficient with computer design software (Quake, WEAP, L-Pile, FEA).

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates, and exercises authority for planning, organization, control, and completion of engineering projects.
• Interacts with Principal and client to solve client problems across interactions.
• Manages site investigations and evaluates conditions with recommendations.
• Plans and budgets engineering programs and schedules.
• Produces reports on milestones and status; adjusts timelines as needed.
• Oversees staffing and coordinates with managers.
• Delivers design documents, bid packages, and proposals.
• Reviews designs for compliance with standards and contracts.
• Interacts with customers to provide status reports and ensure needs are met.
• Develops research plans and trains staff; conducts interim data analysis.
• Establishes major design parameters with project team and client.
• Supports business development and proposal estimates; travels 10% of the time.
