This staff position is a training role for individuals with related degrees and limited field experience.

The role involves site inspections, project design portions, calculations, drafting guidance, and active involvement in environmental and geotechnical studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; 0–3 years of site civil, geotechnical or environmental engineering experience.
• Experience with inspection of compacted fills, footings, ground improvement, deep foundations, retaining walls, utilities, asphalt, concrete, sitework elements.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification; Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred or ability to become registered within six months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects.
• Conducts site inspections to monitor progress to specs and procedures.
• Design portions of projects and perform engineering calculations.
