Qualifications

  • 8+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical investigations, foundation engineering, and site development practices.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead geotechnical projects from proposal through completion in the Houston region.
  • Oversee subsurface investigations, geotechnical evaluations, and engineering recommendations.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and staffing requirements.
  • Review and approve geotechnical reports and technical deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance on shallow and deep foundation systems, settlement analysis, ground improvement, pavement design, retaining walls, earthwork, slope stability.
  • Mentor and develop Project Engineers, EITs, and field personnel.
  • Support business development initiatives, proposal preparation, and client presentations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including construction materials testing, environmental, and infrastructure professionals.

Position Overview

The Senior Project Manager will lead geotechnical projects from proposal through completion while serving as a technical leader, client advisor, and mentor to junior staff.

This role is ideal for an experienced geotechnical professional who enjoys managing projects, developing client relationships, supporting business development efforts, and providing technical oversight on a wide variety of project types.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage geotechnical engineering projects throughout the Houston region.
  • Lead and oversee subsurface investigations, geotechnical evaluations, and engineering recommendations.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and staffing requirements.
  • Review and approve geotechnical reports and technical deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance on:

  • Earthwork recommendations
